Description:
INDUSTRIAL GRILLING MACHINE COOKING FOOD THROUGH LATERAL HEATING WITH SKEWERS HANGING UNDER THEIR OWN WEIGHT AND ROTATING

AUTOMATICALLY

DESCRIPTION

Technical Field

The present invention is related to an industrial grilling machine which enables homogenous cooking of food such as meat, chicken, fish, meatballs and vegetables threaded on skewers rotating automatically around their own axis through heat sources providing lateral heating without requiring manpower, and facilitates the processes of hanging the skewers with their own weight due to the hooked structure of the skewers and skewer holders as well as replacing the cooked skewers with new ones without stopping the engine.

Prior Art

Today, there are ovens and grillers in food-selling locations like restaurants to cook food such as meat, chicken, fish, meatballs and vegetables. Since there is an intensive work pace in these food-selling locations, there is a demand for improvement in the prior art to save on manpower and time.

FR 2722966 is an example to the state of the art in which a cooking device is mentioned where food is cooked horizontally through heating from below and skewers are rotated by a battery-powered engine.

Another example to the state of the art is TR2013/08873 in which a cooking device is mentioned where food is cooked within a closed glass body through electricity, the cooking process is followed from outside and grease is collected in the grease container.

The documents of the art and known embodiments do not mention an invention in which skewers are hung to the skewer holders under their own weight and cooked skewers are replaced rapidly in 2-3 minutes without stopping the engine, the food doesn't fall in the grease since the heat is provided laterally (thus the grease doesn't burst into flames in the fire burning the food and leading to smoking and smelling problems), and which saves on time and manpower, and combines the features of healthy and homogenous cooking together.

Brief Description of the Invention

An object of the invention is to eliminate the problems of bad smell and smoking due to the burned food resulting from grease dripping from the food to the cooking source and causing the fire to burst into flames.

A further object of the invention is to enable skewers to be hung easily under their own weight due to the hooked structure of the skewer holders. Skewers can be removed and replaced with new ones easily while the griller is operating. This helps to save on time and manpower.

Figures for a Better Understanding of the Invention

The "Industrial Grilling Machine" of the invention is shown in the attached figures in which:

Figure-1 is a view of the industrial grilling machine according to the invention.

Figure-2 is a view showing the industrial grilling machine of the invention being used with a different heating source (stone oven).

The drawings are not necessarily scaled and details that are not required to exist to understand the present invention may have been omitted. Furthermore, elements which are at least significantly identical or have at least significantly identical functions are identically numbered.

Description of the References of the Elements:

Our invention entitled "Industrial Grilling Machine" of our present application is numbered as can be seen in the attached figures and the elements are stated below with reference to their numbers:

1. Industrial Grilling Machine

2. Body

3. Heat Source

4. Skewer

5. Skewer Holder

6. Chain

7. Chain Gear

8. Tray Detailed Description of the Invention

The industrial grilling machine (1) of the invention comprises the following elements:

A body (2) secured to the heat source (3)

A heat source (3) providing heat to the food laterally

At least one skewer (4) which is hung to the skewer holder (5) and shaped as a hook on its end that it is fitted to cook food

- At least one skewer holder (5) in the shape of a hook on which the skewers (4) are hung from above and positioned under their own weight A chain (6) transmitting the movement it receives from the engine to the chain gears (7)

A chain gear (7) which enables the rotation of the skewer holders (5) by turning with the movement of the chain (6)

A tray (8) which collects the grease dripping from the food

The industrial grilling machine (1) of the invention enables automatic skewer grilling by using different heat sources (charcoal, natural gas, tube, electricity, wood). An example of the use of these different heat sources is shown in Figure 2 for stone oven.

The industrial grilling machine (1) of the invention prevents situations where one side of the food is being cooked while another side remains raw and it enables homogenous cooking of the food as the skewer (4) carrying the food rotates around its own axis with a constant speed (engine speed can be adjusted as required). It reduces the manpower and time required for cooking. As an alternative to the chain gear system included in the industrial grilling machine (1) of the invention, belt-and-pulley and other similar movement transmission systems can be utilized. One end of the skewer holder (5) included in the industrial grilling machine (1) of the invention is in the shape of a hook while its other end is mounted to the seat. The hook shaped end of the skewers (4) is placed on the skewer holder (5) while the pointed end where the food is threaded remains empty. For a more efficient rotation, there is a roller bearing in the seat where the chain gear (7) and skewer holder (5) are connected. Food is prevented from falling off the skewers by means of inserting a pirn through the hole opened near the pointed end of the skewers where food is threaded.

The industrial grilling machine (1) contains the number of skewers (4), skewer holders (5) and chain gears (7) according to the required cooking capacity.

The grease of the food drips from the griller to the tray (8) during the process of cooking. The tray (8) helps to keep the environment clean. It is possible to develop different applications of the invention around this basic concept and the invention is not limited to the examples provided here but it is essentially as stated in the claims.
