Abstract:
The invention relates to an indwelling cannula (1) for cannulation of a hollow body by means of a cannulation needle, the indwelling cannula (1) comprising a catheter (2) with a tubular catheter tube (22) in which the cannulation needle can be longitudinally movably guided. The indwelling cannula (1) includes a manually actuatable advancing mechanism (5), the manual actuation of which makes it possible to create a relative movement between the catheter tube (22) and the cannulation needle, said relative movement allowing a cannulation tip (31), which protrudes from the catheter tube (22) at the end closer to the patient, of the cannulation needle to be accommodated in the catheter tube (22). Preferably, at least one control element of the advancing mechanism (5) is in the form of a pivotably mounted lever (53) having at least one lever arm.
