Abstract:
In the present invention, solid residues are sufficiently collected even when the number of turns in a gas flow path or the number of times the gas flow path is bent, is reduced. The inflator is equipped, inside a pressure container (2) having a base (2c), an adaptor (2b), and a diffuser (2a), with an igniter (3) that is supported by the adaptor (2b); an igniter tube (7) that is supported either by the adaptor (2b) or by the base (2c); a transfer charge (4) that is placed on the inner circumferential side of the igniter tube (7); and a gas-forming agent (5) that is placed inside a gas-forming agent filling part (2d) provided on the outer circumferential side of the igniter tube (7). An adsorption member (13) for adsorbing solid residues contained in the gas is provided at a position within a route changing area where the gas traveled straight through the gas flow path hits when the inflator is activated, said route changing area being formed on a gas flow path extending from the gas-forming agent filling part (2d) to a gas ejection hole (2aa) formed in the sidewall of the diffuser (2a).
