Disclosed are an information display method and a terminal. The method of the embodiments of the present invention comprises: a first terminal which receives communication information from a second terminal; the first terminal stores communication information sent by a contact person of an ordinary system in a communication information storage area of the ordinary system; the first terminal stores communication information sent by a contact person of a security system in a pre-set target storage area of the security system; and the first terminal determines a system where the first terminal is located, when the first terminal is in the security system, if the communication information in the communication information storage area of the ordinary system is updated, the updated communication information is displayed on an interface of the security system, and when the first terminal is in the ordinary system, if the communication information in the target storage area is updated, the updated communication information is displayed on an interface of the ordinary system. The embodiments of the present invention enormously facilitate an operation of a user on a terminal, which enables the user to simply and rapidly learn and process communication information about different systems.
