This information display system, which displays a video to either the inside or the outside of a space, via a transparent projection-receiving member arranged inside the space, is provided with a video projection device (48) which is arranged inside of the space and modulates luminous flux from a light source to generate and project video light, a transparent sheet (51) which is provided on the inside surface of a display region configured in a part of the transparent projection-receiving member, and a light direction conversion panel (54) which converts the direction of the video light from the video projection device towards the transparent sheet in the display region, wherein the transparent sheet (51) includes a phase difference plate, an absorption-type polarizing plate that absorbs specific polarized waves, and a transparent diffusion sheet material having a light diffusion effect, and the video light, the direction of which has been converted by the light direction conversion panel (54), is projected to inside or outside of the aforementioned space.
