Abstract:
This information presentation device according to one embodiment has an image acquiring unit, a category classifying unit, a map image generating unit, a region detecting unit, a region determining unit, and an information presenting unit. The image acquiring unit acquires an image. The category classifying unit generates a classification image made up of a plurality of regions obtained by classifying the image into categories for each attribute. The map image generating unit generates a map image that represents a region determined as important and included in the image. The region detecting unit generates an importance map image on the basis of the map image and the classification image. The region determining unit determines an information presentation region for displaying presentation information on the basis of the importance map image generated by the region detecting unit. The information presenting unit displays the presentation information in accordance with the information presentation region determined by the region determining unit.
