Abstract:
Rest facility candidates in a predetermined search area including a location indicated by position information of a vehicle, the candidates being extracted by using the position information of the vehicle and facility information, are searched for a rest facility candidate that satisfies a search condition defined on the basis of preference information. The need for updating the rest facility candidates is determined in accordance with the distance the vehicle has traveled from the point in time when the position information of the vehicle was detected. When it is determined that updating is required, the rest facility candidates are searched again, and a retrieved rest facility candidate is presented.
