The present invention involves: obtaining information about a photographing environment including the physical relationship between an object plane and a photographing device which can perform panoramic photography in which a range to be photographed is divided into a plurality of regions, and in which photographing is performed a plurality of times for each of the divided regions, and obtaining information indicating the condition pertaining to the image quality of an image captured by the photographing device; determining, on the basis of the received information, a combination of parameters that can be set in the photographing device and that allow the object plane to lie within the depth of field when the combination of parameters are set in the photographing device; and, if a plurality of images obtained by the photographing device in which the determined combination of parameters are set performing the panoramic photography satisfy the image quality condition, presenting, to a user, a range on the object plane captured in the plurality of images.
