Abstract:
The present invention suitably controls syllable progression when reproducing a harmony of a chorus group or the like on the basis of operation of an electronic musical instrument. Through a CPU of the electronic musical instrument, when operation of a second operation element is detected after a set time has passed subsequently to the detection of operation of a first operation element, whether to proceed a syllable that is made to be pronounced from a first syllable to a second syllable which is next is controlled in accordance with the number of operation elements for which operation was ongoing at the timing when the operation of the second operation element was detected.
