An information processing device (1) is provided with: a sensor (1a) that senses entry into a room; an imaging device (1b) that captures an entrant to obtain image data when entry into a room is sensed; a determination unit (1c); a face authentication unit (1d); and an output unit (1e) that outputs the result of face authentication processing to a notification destination. The determination unit (1c) determines the presence or absence of a mask being worn by the entrant on the basis of the image data obtained with the imaging device (1b) to thereby provisionally determine whether the entrant is a person to be authenticated or a person not to be authenticated as a user of the room. When the result of the provisional determination is that the entrant is a person to be authenticated, the face authentication unit (1d) executes face authentication processing by comparing face image data of the person to be authenticated and preliminarily stored feature data representing features of a face per person to be authenticated and per an accompanying person who is a person who may enter the room accompanying the person to be authenticated.
