Abstract:
An information processing device is provided with: an NV memory which is a non-volatile recording medium; a file system unit that manages one or more files stored in the NV memory; and a memory managing unit that, in response to a request from a process being executed, allocates to the process an NV memory area that the file system unit can use as a file. The file system unit can access an area of the NV memory in which unused area managing information is stored, the unused area managing information being information for managing unused areas of the NV memory and having a data structure matching the characteristics of the NV memory. When the NV memory is used as a main memory and storage, the processing time for memory allocation can be reduced.
