Abstract:
An accounting device (10) is provided with: an image data acquisition unit (11) for acquiring data of an image; an image analysis unit (12) which uses feature values of the external appearance of each of a plurality of products registered in a feature value storage unit (14), and the data of the image to recognize the products in the image; a read necessity confirmation unit (15) which uses a read object storage unit (16) having, preregistered therein, products having product codes which need to be read, to extract, from among the recognized products, the products having the product codes which need to be read; and a reading unit (17) for reading the product codes of the products extracted by the reading necessity confirmation unit (15).
