Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to an information processing device, an information processing method, and a program, with which a tactile sensation signal can be transmitted efficiently to a plurality of tactile sensation presentation units. The transmission device divides a tactile sensation signal included in content into a group of base tactile sensation signals, converts each divided base tactile sensation signal into encoded data comprising a specified parameter, and transmits the encoded data. The reception device restores each of the base tactile sensation signals on the basis of the parameter constituting the encoded data, combines the decoded signals to restore the tactile sensation signal, and then presents the tactile sensation. The present disclosure can be applied to a content reproduction system equipped with a tactile sensation presentation device.
