This information processing device is provided with a monitored device (50) and a monitoring device that monitors the monitored device (50) and that has a control unit (21) that holds a time source (22), a basic unit monitoring unit (23) that holds a time source (24), and a console unit (30). The control unit (21) sets the time of the first time source (22) and the monitored device (50) on the basis of a time setting instruction from the console unit (30), and notifies the console unit (30) of a time setting completion notification. Also, when the console unit (30) is in an exclusionary relationship wherein the basic unit monitoring unit (23) cannot set the time of the second time source (24) while the control unit (21) is in a started up state, after receiving the time setting completion notification, the console unit (30) stops the control unit (21), sets the time of the second time source (24) of the basic unit monitoring unit (23), and after completion of time setting, restarts the control unit (21) and the basic unit monitoring unit (23).
