Abstract:
The present invention pertains to an information processing device and an information processing method that enable a higher quality G-PCC based stream to be distributed. When a G-PCC based stream obtained by encoding point cloud data by means of a G-PCC is to be generated, spatial position information indicating the positions, on space, of individual partial point cloud data items obtained by dividing the point cloud data into a plurality of parts and grouping information relating to grouping of the individual partial point cloud data items are generated. The present invention can be applied to, for example, a generation device for generating G-PCC based streams.
