Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to an information processing device and method which make it possible to control the number of points obtained by decoding. A bit stream is generated which includes: encoded data of 3D data representing, as a plane, the points of a point cloud, which represents a three-dimensionally shaped object as a set of points; and control information controlling the number of points derived from 3D data obtained by decoding the encoded data. The present disclosure is applicable to, for example, an information processing device, an image processing device, an encoding device, a decoding device, electronic equipment, an information processing method, or a program.
