Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to an information processing device and method that make it possible to suppress increases in reproduction processing load. The present disclosure comprises generating a scene description file that describes a scene of a 3D object content to be delivered using Moving Picture Experts Group Dynamic Adaptive Streaming over HTTP (MPEG DASH), the scene description file including information associated with a Media Presentation Description (MPD) that stores metadata of the 3D object content and information related to encoding of a Representation included in an Adaptation Set in the MPD. The present disclosure further comprises: analyzing the scene description file; selecting, on the basis of the information related to encoding of a Representation therein, a 3D object content to be decoded; and decoding coded data of the selected 3D content. The present disclosure can be applied, for example, to an information processing device or an information processing method.
