Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to an information processing device and method which makes it easy to grasp image quality improvement techniques required for playback of content. Image quality improvement technique information relating to image quality improvement techniques which improve the quality of an image to be encoded is generated, a content file which stores encoded data of the image is generated, and the image quality improvement technique information is stored in the content file. Furthermore, the encoded data of the image to be played back is acquired from the content file on the basis of the image quality improvement technique information relating to image quality improvement techniques which improve the quality of an image, and the encoded data is decoded. The present disclosure can be applied to, for example, an information processing device, an information processing method, and the like.
