Abstract:
The objective of the present invention is to achieve a configuration for calculating the distance and position to an object included in an image in a direction in which distance measurement using a distance sensor is impossible. The information processing device includes an object distance calculating unit which receives a image captured by a camera and calculates the distance to an object in the image, wherein the object distance calculating unit calculates the distance to the object by utilizing actual size information of the object and image information of an image object included in the captured image. Furthermore, an object position calculating unit calculates an object position by utilizing calculated information from the object distance calculating unit, and the image information. The object actual size is acquired on the basis of a captured image in a direction in which distance measurement using a distance sensor is possible.
