Abstract:
The present invention serves to identify the position of a detection target in a machine tool. An information processing device according to the present disclosure is an information processing device for controlling a liquid discharge unit that is provided in a machine tool and that discharges liquid so as to move chips produced from a workpiece. The information processing device is characterized by being provided with: an image acquisition unit that acquires image data of the interior of the machine tool, captured by an image capturing device; a detection unit that detects, from the image data, a target for discharging liquid by the liquid discharge unit; a position acquisition unit that acquires position information of a movable part installed in the machine tool, the movable part being configured so that the workpiece is disposed thereon and so that the workpiece can be moved; and a control unit that controls the liquid discharge unit that is installed in the machine tool and that discharges liquid toward a target related to the movable part. Furthermore, the information processing device is characterized in that the position acquisition unit is capable of acquiring first position information of the movable part at the time when the image data was captured by the image capturing device and second position information of the movable part after the movable part was moved from the first position information, and is also characterized in that the control unit controls at least one of the position, orientation, and discharge pressure of the liquid discharge unit on the basis of (i) the position of the target at the time when the image data was captured by the image capturing unit, as well as (ii) the first position information and (iii) the second position information acquired by the position acquisition unit, when the target has been moved as a result of movement of the movable part.
