Abstract:
This information processing device is provided with a voice input processing unit, a memory, and a controller. In a user registration process for registering a user with this information processing device, the voice input processing unit captures a registration voice uttered by a user to be registered, and converts the registration voice into a first voice signal. The controller extracts a first voice feature from the first voice signal, and compares the first voice feature with a voice feature of a registered user as previously stored in the memory. If the first voice feature does not match the voice feature of the registered user, the controller performs a process for storing the first voice feature in the memory in association with the user to be registered, generating a voice password on the basis of the first voice feature, and storing the voice password in the memory. The controller performs a user authentication process on the user to be authenticated using the voice password that was stored in the memory through the user registration process.
