An information processing method according to the present disclosure includes an inference step (S10) for inferring a state that is visually recognized by a user and that pertains to an observed target being observed by the user, and a setting step (S14) for setting, in accordance with the visually recognized state, the granularity of explanation information that is to be presented to the user and that is for explaining about the observed object, the steps being executed by a processor.
