Abstract:
Image data of a chick irradiated with ultraviolet radiation by an illuminator is obtained by capturing the chick by an optical device for visible light (S101). The image data presents an image in which at least flight feather parts are excited by a stroke shift and are colored differently (for example, pink) from ultraviolet radiation, thereby facilitating discrimination between flight feathers and other feathers with different colors. The image data undergoes image processing and a tone change (S102), and an image obtained for sexing is provided for a neural network to sex the chick therein (S103, S104). This processing is performed by a system, thereby eliminating the need for special skills.
