Abstract:

[Problem] To provide an information processing device and an information processing method with greater user usability. [Solution] An information processing system which is a first aspect according to the present technology comprises: an acquisition unit which acquires image data which is obtained by photographing a slide on which a plurality of slices which are obtained by slicing a specimen in a single direction and which are mounted separately from one another upon said slide; a detection unit which detects a plurality of detection regions of the same shape which each include one of the slices in the acquired image data and computes location information which relatively denotes the location in a coordinate space of the image data of each of the respective specimen regions; a first storage unit which stores the computed location information; and a control unit which switches the display between the specimen regions based on the stored location information.
