Abstract:
An information providing device is provided which can provide guidance information to be provided, in an easy-to-understand form even when guidance is mainly by audio or sound.　When searching for a route, destination information and information about a corresponding feature that has properties that accord with the preferences of the person receiving the guidance and that is present in a prescribed area from the destination position is acquired (step S25, S27), and, on the basis of the acquired destination information and corresponding feature information, guidance to the destination associated with the corresponding feature is provided by audio.
