Abstract:
Provided is an information reading device, wherein: an accommodation space (S) is formed by an enclosure (20) so as to inhibit radio wave leakage, and the accommodation space accommodates an article (G) bearing a wireless tag (T); and a control unit (40) performs reading processing in which antennas (31, 32) arranged in the accommodation space are used to read information from the wireless tag accommodated in the accommodation space. The control unit is provided with: an output frequency alteration unit for altering an output frequency of radio waves outputted from each of the antennas; and a phase difference alteration unit for altering a phase difference by changing the phases of the radio waves outputted from each of the antennas. Due to this configuration, it is possible to enhance reading performance without providing movable parts or the like.
