Provided is an information recording device with which it is possible, when a card or other recording medium is stuck within a conveyance route, to easily carry out a jam processing task thereon with a simple operation. A card storage unit and a medium conveyance route which transports a card to an image forming unit are positioned vertically with respect to each other within a housing, and a route opening-closing member in order to remove a card which is jammed in the image forming unit is disposed therebetween. An electronic information recording means is installed in the path opening-closing member, and a medium conveyance path which transports the card toward the electronic information recording means is disposed within a medium intake route which supplies the card from the card storage unit to the medium conveyance route. It is thus possible to easily extract to the outside of the device a card which is stuck in the image forming unit and the information recording unit by opening the card storage unit.
