The present disclosure is related to an information searching method, device, electronic apparatus and server. The method comprises: upon detecting a requirement to send chat content in an input box to a peer terminal, sending at least one keyword in the chat content to the server; receiving searched content found by the server on the basis of the at least one keyword and at least one category in which the searched content is classified and stored in the server; and displaying a classification of the searched content in a current interface on the basis of the at least one category. The disclosed technical solution can ensure the searched content is closely related to the chat topic, and can enable a user to directly acquire information required by the user via the searched content, thus removing the need to switch operations from the instant chat tool to the browser and from the browser back to the instant chat tool, and ensuring the user is free from interruptions in the instant chat process with the peer terminal when needing to search for information related to the chat content in the input box during the instant chat process.
