There is provided an information signal processing device for performing a series of processes by using function blocks for an information signal and capable of easily upgrading the function by updating the version of the function block. A control block (110) issues a common command and sends it via a control bus (111) to a control block (120). The function block (120A) has a control I/F (120d). When the common command relates to a local function command, the control I/F (120d) converts the common command into the in-function-block command and supplies it to a function unit (120e). The function block (120A) can be adaptively operated in accordance with the common command. When performing upgrade by updating the version of a predetermined function block, the common command need not be changed.
