An information stream displaying method and system applicable to a user terminal can be utilized to look up, according to a keyword input by a user in an input control element in a current information stream page, and from a content list browsed by the user in a preset previous time interval, an information entry matching the keyword, so as to enable the user to fast trace back and locate an information entry previously read and of interest to the user, saving time and efforts, effectively enhancing reading experience of users.
