Abstract:
An information transmission method and apparatus, a communication device, and a storage medium, relating to the technical field of wireless communications. The method comprises: acquiring the state of an initial bandwidth part (Initial BWP) of a reduced capability user equipment (Redcap UE) (101); then, according to the state of the Initial BWP, sending a first system information block (SIB) that can be read by a current general UE or a second SIB dedicated to the Redcap UE (102); and on the basis of the state of the Initial BWP of the Redcap UE, determining whether to send the second SIB dedicated to the Redcap UE, or to send the first SIB that can be read by the general UE. Unnecessary system message updates are avoided and power overhead is reduced.
