Abstract:
An infrared guide system comprises: an infrared transmitter for radiating infrared rays in the front direction of a user from the left side; an infrared transmitter for radiating infrared rays in the front direction of the user from the right side; a spectaclelike infrared receiver provided with an infrared receiving section for receiving infrared rays from the front side, an infrared receiving section for receiving infrared rays from the left side and an infrared receiving section for receiving infrared rays from the right side; a signal processor for generating a guide signal based on individual information carried on the received infrared rays; and a voice output unit for informing guide information by voice according to the guide signal. A visually handicapped person can attain information from the right and left sides as well as from the front side while directing front direction.
