Abstract:
[Problem] To enable fixed pattern noise data to be acquired without requiring a shutter mechanism in an infrared imaging device and a method for updating fixed pattern noise data. [Solution] A noise data updating processing unit (44) calculates the quantity of fixed pattern noise (FPN) components on the basis of infrared detection signals detected by an infrared detector in a state in which an optical system is kept in an unfocused state, and updates an FPN data storage unit (43) with the quantity of the calculated FPN components. The noise data updating processing unit (44) calculates, for detector elements, the average value of the detection signals of a plurality of detector elements in the vicinity where the detector elements are included, and subtracts the average value of pre-updated fixed pattern noise data from the calculated average value, thereby calculating the signal components, which are dependent on incident infrared light, included in the detection signals of the detector elements. Moreover, the quantity of fixed pattern noise components is calculated by subtracting the signal components calculated from the detection signals of the detector elements.
