Abstract:
The invention relates to optical fire and explosion detectors converting fireplaces, open flame and explosion radiation into an electric signal. The inventive detector comprises photoelectric cells of sensor optical channels, which are made of a solid solution produced by introducing a cadmium selenide into a lead selenide. Six base photoelectric cells are designed and provided with filters, whose combination makes it possible to optimally detecting current types of fire on the background of more characteristic optical noises. The base cells are characterised by the cadmium selenide concentration in the lead selenide solution and by the filter passband edges. The detected is added with a testing photoluminescent radiator whose radiation spectrum is agreed with the fireplace and explosion radiation spectra. Said invention increases the reliability, fast response and sensitivity of the detector, to extend the operational capabilities and to organise the mass production thereof.
