Abstract:
An infrared reflective pigment is provided which, even when a surface layer comprising an oxygen and silicon compound is used, has further improved durability of infrared reflection performance and visible light transmission performance, and suppresses infrared reflective pigments from sticking to each other. This flat plate-shape infrared reflective pigment comprises a laminate body and a surface layer that is formed from an oxygen and silicon compound; the laminate body comprises a metal layer and dielectric layers. The laminate body comprises, in order, a first dielectric layer, a metal layer, and a second dielectric layer. The surface layer covers the metal layer, which is exposed at least on the side of the laminate body, and the film thickness of the covered surface layer is 20-200 nm.
