Abstract:
This initiator comprises a pair of electrodes, an insulating member interposed between the pair of electrodes, a cover body covering one end side of each of the pair of electrodes together with a surrounding space, and an explosive which fills the space inside the cover body, wherein the pair of electrodes have a discharge gap, in the space, having a lower insulation resistance than a part in which the insulating member is interposed. In this way, the present invention provides a technique that enables ignition without an electric bridge wire and which facilitates manufacture of the initiator.
