Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a new injection liquid that is for dental local anesthesia and that is capable of reducing a patient's indefinite complaint that may be caused after a treatment, particularly an unpleasant sensation around the oral cavity, when a dental local anesthetic agent is administered into an affected area in the oral cavity. The present invention is, for example, an injection liquid that is for local anesthesia, that is to be administered into a portion in the vicinity of an affected area in the oral cavity in dental treatment, and that is characterized by consisting only of: articaine or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, a glucocorticoid, an additive, and water; or, in addition to the same, a vasoconstrictor. According to the present invention, an unpleasant sensation around the oral cavity experienced by a patient (particularly, middle-aged and older patients of at least 50 years of age) after receiving local anesthesia for dental treatment is effectively reduced.
