Abstract:
An injector failure diagnostic device 1 is an injector failure diagnostic device of a multi-cylinder internal combustion engine 2 provided with injectors 21-24 that inject fuel for each cylinder. The injector failure diagnostic device 1 comprises: an operation noise acquiring unit 12 that acquires operation noise generated when all the injectors are operated as current operation noise and operation noise generated when fuel injection in one of all the injectors is stopped and the rest of the injectors are operated as pseudo-failure operation time noise with targeting all the injectors; and a failed injector specifying unit 13 that determines whether the pseudo-failure operation time noise of each injector acquired in the operation noise acquiring unit 12 is similar to the current operation noise and specifies a failed injector.
