Abstract:

An ink cartridge (40) includes an ink bag (42), a movable body (62), which relatively moves with respect to a housing (41), one detecting unit (66), and a storage unit (125). The detecting unit (66) outputs a signal that indicates a value that corresponds to a relative position with respect to the housing of the movable body (62). The storage unit stores time data that indicates a time required to change the value of the signal outputted from the detecting unit from a first predetermined value to a second predetermined value that is different from the first predetermined value. Jetting characteristics of a recording head can be maintained in a desired state even if the ink cartridge is loaded on a recording device at a high speed.
