Abstract:
Provided are an ink jet printer and a circulation program capable of reducing ink circulation and decreasing the ink that flows into a cap. If the time when a final print operation ends, or if the elapsed time since the last cleaning inside a cap is within a prescribed time, a CPU executes an intra-head circulation for circulating ink in a fourth channel 714C, a head part 110, and a fifth channel 715C in a liquid contact state where cleaning fluid provided to the inside of the cap is in contact with a nozzle surface. If the elapsed time is longer than the prescribed time, the CPU executes an extra-head circulation for circulating ink in the fourth channel 714C, a second bypass channel 802, and the fifth channel 715C, without passing through the head part.
