Title:
INK JET PRINTER, INK JET PRINTING METHOD, INK JET PRINT PROGRAM, AND MEDIUM RECORDING THAT PROGRAM
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2004/005031
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
An ink jet printer having a carriage (15) reciprocating in the main scanning direction and controlling ink ejection from a print head (17) based on the positional information of the carriage (15) to thereby perform printing during both going stroke and returning stroke of the carriage (15). Position of the carriage (15) is detected by means of an encoder (22), a first U/D counter (29), a second U/D counter (30), a timer (31), and an interval timer (32). Speed of the carriage (15) is detected by means of the encoder (22), the first U/D counter (29), and a timer (31). At a TBL memory (33), a positional correction amount at the detected carriage speed is determined based on a positional correction amount at a specified carriage speed. A head control section (26) controls ink ejection from the print head (17) based on the carriage position and the positional correction amount.
