Abstract:
By means of an ink jet printing ink set consisting of deep color ink and pale color ink, which comprise a reactive dye having vinyl sulfone groups and a buffer having a pKa in the acidic region, pH of the deep color ink is within a range of pKa-1.5 to pKa+1.5 of the buffer agent contained in the deep color ink, pH of the pale color ink is within a range of pKa-1.5 to pKa+1.5 of the buffer contained in the pale color ink, and the ink jet printing ink set satisfies formulas (1) and (2). The ink set has superior ink shelf life, and a reduction in coloration density of the image can be prevented, even with the passage of time after the coloration step.
Formula (1): pH of deep color ink - pH of pale color ink > 0.5
Formula (2): reactive dye content of pale color ink/reactive dye content of deep color ink > 0.1
