Abstract:

An ink jet recording device comprising a color ink recording head (6) having nozzle openings Nc arranged at a paper-feed-direction pitch Pc of N x P (N; integer of at least 4 except for prime number, P; pitch of dots required by printing), and a black ink recording head (5) having m pieces of (m; divisor of at least 2 of N) nozzle openings Nb1 arranged at a paper-feed-direction pitch Pb1 of P and having nozzle openings Nb2 arranged at a paper-feed-direction pitch Pb2 of {N (m-1)}P, wherein paper is fed on an mP basis, and image data is printed by the color ink recording head (6) and text data by the black ink recording head (5) concurrently, whereby it is possible to print text data and image data present on the same pass at respective optimum resolutions.
