Abstract:
A heat-sensitive transfer recording ink ribbon capable of printing various still images such as video camera or television image as hard copies based on sublimation tranfer of a sublimable dye to a paper substrate to be transferred to obtain, for example, color copies, in which ribbon heat-sensitive, transferrable ink portions are provided in a desired arrangement and marks for detecting positions of the ink portions are also provided, with at least one kind of the ink portions and the position-detecting mark containing a disperse dye, a binder, and a thermally stable pigment capable of absorbing infrared rays. This ink ribbon enables to form ink portions of respective colors and position-detecting marks in an accurate position at the same time without resort to special printing steps and without an increase in the number of working steps.
