Abstract:
The problem to be solved by the present invention is to provide a method for producing a binder for ink used in the production of inkjet printer ink, to impart both excellent ink discharge characteristics and compositional stability. The present invention pertains to a method for producing an inkjet printer ink binder containing a hydroliphic group-containing urethane resin (A), an acetylene compound (B), and an aqueous medium (C), said production method including: a step (1) for producing an organic solvent solution [I] of a urethane resin (A) by reacting a polyol (a1) containing a hydroliphic group-containing polyole with a polyisocyanate (a2) in an organic solvent or without a solvent, and providing an organic solvent if necessary; a step (2) for producing a mixture [II] by mixing the aforementioned organic solvent solution [I], the aforementioned acetylene compound (B), and the aforementioned aqueous medium (C); and a step (3) for removing the organic solvent in the aforementioned mixture [II].
