Abstract:
Provided are an inkjet printing device, a dummy jet method, and a program with which it is possible to implement a dummy jet at a dummy jet implementation timing determined in consideration of the use status of a nozzle. A non-ejectable period and a required ejection amount of an inkjet head are set for each nozzle. With respect to a dummy jet implementing nozzle, when a dummy jet is implemented with an ejection amount lacking relative to the required ejection amount, the dummy jet is not implementd if, at a determination timing for determining the need for implementation of a dummy jet, with respect to a nozzle in which the total ejection amount in the non-ejectable period is less than the required ejection amount, the period from a print start to the next ejection timing is longer than or equal to a period obtained by adding a determination cycle to the period from the print start to the determination timing.
