Abstract:
The present invention provides a technique for reducing deterioration of print quality in the case where multiple discharge heads are in use. An ink feed unit (41) feeds ink to discharge heads (311, 312). An image data division unit (85) divides image data representing an image to be formed on a base material (9) into first image data and second image data. The first image data represents an image to be formed on the base material (9) by the discharge head (311), and the second image data represents an image to be formed on the base material (9) by the discharge head (312). A feed amount control unit (87) changes the amount of ink to be fed to the discharge head (311) by the ink feed unit (41) by controlling a first flow amount regulation valve (471) on the basis of the first image data. The feed amount control unit (87) also changes the amount of ink to be fed to the discharge head (312) by the ink feed unit (41) by controlling a second flow amount regulation valve (472) on the basis of the second image data.
