Abstract:
With respect to an inkjet recording device in which a pigment-based ink is used, provided is an ink device that can suppress ink adherence in an ink path and precipitation of pigment components in an ink container, which occur when printing is not implemented for a long period of time, and can jet the pigment-based ink in a short period of time when printing is resumed. In this inkjet recording device in which a pigment-based ink is used, a control unit 7 executes a printing mode in which a printing operation is implemented, and a suspension mode in which a printing operation is not implemented. In the suspension mode, the control unit 7 forcibly causes stirring of a pigment-based ink 68A in an ink container 31, and ink circulation (S300) in an ink circulation path that does not include a printing head, or ink circulation (S400) in an ink circulation path that includes the printing head. Thereby, ink adherence in the ink circulation path and precipitation of pigment components in the ink container, which occur when printing is not implemented for a long period of time, can be suppressed, and the pigment-based ink can be jetted in a short period of time when printing is resumed.
