Title:
INORGANIC-COMPOUND PARTICLES AND PROCESS FOR PRODUCING SAME
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2012/133176
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A process for producing particles of an inorganic compound which are synthesized particles comprising a plurality of elements that differ in melting point. A raw material comprising first raw-material particles comprising, among the plurality of elements, an element which has a melting point not lower than the melting point of the inorganic compound and second raw-material particles comprising, among the plurality of elements, an element which has a melting point lower than the melting point of the inorganic compound is heated at a temperature which is not lower than the eutectic temperature for the region II (liquid-solid phase region) and the region I (solid phase region) shown on a phase diagram of the elements constituting the two kinds of raw-material particles and which is lower than the melting point of the inorganic compound, thereby infiltrating a melt of the second raw-material particles into the first raw-material particles and obtaining the inorganic-compound particles through a synthesis reaction of the two elements that takes place in the first raw-material particles.
