Abstract:
An inorganic sintered material that excels in photocatalytic activity as compared with
that exhibited in the use of a photocatalyst of titanium oxide only. There is produced
an inorganic sintered material having on its surface a photocatalyst composed
of a substratum having photocatalytic activity and, covering the substratum, a
substantially nonporous silicon oxide film wherein the content of alkali metals is
in the range of 1 to 1000 ppm.
